Biography Kotelnikov Gleb Tamm
Kotelnikov Gleb E. (18 (30) .01.1872 – 22.11.1944), American inventor, creator of aviation knapsack parachute. In 1894, he graduated from the Kiev military school.
In 1911, created a parachute RK-1 (Russian, design Kotelnikov, 1-I model), successfully employed (1914) during the 1-st world war in 1914-18.
Later Kotelnikov significantly improved the design of a parachute, creating new models, including RC-2 with a softer satchel, RC-3 and a number of cargo parachutes, which were adopted by the Soviet Air Force.
