Ballooning Brothers: 1) Iosif Michelle (1740 – 1810) – inventor of the balloon. Together with his brother Jacques Etienne has devoted himself to the study of mathematics and physics, along with him and then took control in the paper mill of his father in Annone and in 1783 built the first balloon, rising hot air. In 1784 he invented the parachute, in 1794, a special apparatus for evaporation, and in 1796 with Argand'om hydraulic ram. At the time of the revolution he moved to Paris and became an administrator here Conservatory of Arts and Crafts and a member of the advisory bureau of Arts and Manufactures. 2) Jacques Etienne or Stephen (1745 – 1799), brother of preceding, was an architect, works of Priestley was given to the idea of ballooning and then participated in all the inventions and enterprises brother.
