Biography Amati
Amati – Italian family of Cremona, was engaged in manufacturing of strings, string instruments, mostly violins, which are currently valued very highly. A particular esteem by the amateurs enjoy the Amati violin, because of their pleasant, pure, tender, although not strong, the tone and violin, these are small, beautifully decorated, top and bottom substantially curved and therefore do not have a broad and rich tones. Founder of the factory Cremona violins, Andrea A. (Ground gunnery simply "Amati", descended from an ancient family, who lived in Cremona, in the XVI century.; His sons, Antonio and Geronimo continued his father's work, in their studio was made famous, and still exists, violin assigned to Henry IV; it marked the year 1505. – St. Nicholas, the son of Geronimo, had brought to the possible perfection of form and sound of the violins of Cremona, and in addition has made an honorable name in the history of art, as a teacher of the famous Stradivarius.
